Mapping
the Necklace was a year long project with Cornerstone
Strategies and funded by Dott
07, to get people moving into and around The Durham
Necklace Park.
My
role was Assistant Producer with Cornerstone, recording the process
and producing 20 short films that were showcased at the Dott 07
Design Festival in Baltic Square, Gateshead in October 2007.
The
film making was a collaboration between myself, 'mappers' and
amateur filmmakers. Each film is a documentary of the mapping
process or a map in its own right, exploring an aspect of the
Durham Necklace Park. The final showcase was displayed on 3 large
interactive
plasma screens.

On
a Cat's Whisker was a 4 month oral history project that
took place in 6 locations in Durham County in 2005. The work focussed
on the impact of radio during the Second World War and was an
inter-generational initiative involving over 90 people from ages
of 12 - 75. The recollections were used to create a multi-media
performance by young people at the Gala Theatre in Durham City
and a DVD.
My
role was as producer, video and DVD developer, photographer and
publicity designer.

in video production and digital recording. The performance was a
collaboration over 5 days with a Director, Drama Worker , Sound
Artist and the youth group, where the drama and video projections
